Tree Preservation Orders (TPO’s) and Conservation Area.
Many trees in the UK enjoy statutory protection either because they are subject to a TPO or because they are located within a Conservation Area, in some cases because of both; severe penalties can be incurred for unauthorised works.
Tree Inspection & Survey
Whether it be a single tree or a large population, whether it is for the purpose of satisfying mortgage lenders, establishing tree health/condition for safety purposes or advising on a trees role for subsidence issues.
Trees and Development
Trees are a ‘material consideration’ in the development process. This means that Local Planning Authorities (LPA’s) have a duty to consider them when determining any planning application.
LPA’s will frequently require that a tree survey is submitted with any planning application and may refuse to register an application until such a survey is provided.
